When add the pearlescent mica pigments in resin, the volume of addition of mica pearlescents powder is generally 0.5% to 2% (the raw weight ratio of resin). 

However, for thin plastic products and film products, there must be a higher additive amount, generally 5% to 8% (weight ratio of resin), sometimes may be higher than 10% .

However, there don't recommend to use extremely high additive amount, because too much pearlescent mica pigment will make it can't be well oriented in the finished products, and it will produce the phenomenon of hair blossom and atomization, and the pearlescent effect can't be fully reflected. For different processes and different plastic resins, it is necessary to find out the suitable additive amount by test method.

Below are some recommended addition amount of the pearlescent mica pigments:
